Hello, I'm a creative director, designer, marketing and digital strategy professional with over 20 years of experience working in New York City. In addition to my design background I hold an MBA from the Zicklin School of Business (Baruch College/CUNY) and a Master's (MS) in Media Management from The New School.
I am passionate about design. Not simply whatever falls under the umbrella of graphic design but all areas of creative expression, whether it be interiors, architecture, art, or objects. I am constantly inspired by the world around me and this inspiration and passion shines in my work. I still get a rush from the creative process and seeing a project through to completion. My areas of expertise extend from award-winning print & editorial design, identity & branding, strategic marketing, digital communications, advertising & promotions, art direction, and data visualization. I’m an out-of-the-box thinker and problem solver—whatever design dilemma you have, I can solve it. This includes the ability to fully realize projects from inception to completion, no matter the platform or medium. My design aesthetic is contemporary and clean, ranging from big and bold to subtle and nuanced, but consistently elegant and respectful of the material. I've led successful projects for companies such as Coca-Cola, McDonald's, and Microsoft, among many others. My graduate-level studies and work experiences have instilled in me the skills necessary to be an effective leader of teams of any size. When not working you can often find me either planning my next travel adventure, out running or hiking, playing tennis, still trying to nail down French, or brushing up on new software and skills.
I am as comfortable with code as I am with pen and paper. Whether you want a WordPress blog or a multi-page, fully-responsive site built with Bootstrap, I have the necessary skills to take your project from dull to dynamite!
I love creating orginal illustrations and imagery. I typically work in a combination of digital and organic mediums. I do collage with paper, ink, and paint, as well as infographics and data visualizations using Illustrator and Photoshop.
I have a background in theater which, combined with my PowerPoint and Keynote skills, allow me to both create and deliver dynamic presentations that will win over any audience, of any size.
In addition to my work as a designer, I have a tremendous love for—and strong background in—writing, both creative and technical. My love of grammar and writing has instilled in me the confidence necessary to be an outstanding communicator.
In this role I work side-by-side with the College’s Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer in the development, implementation, and oversight of strategic plans for marketing, advertising and communications. Supervising six design and communications professionals, my team and I work with various campus and external constituencies focused on student recruitment and retention, brand management, and institutional advancement and fundraising. Our work covers a broad range of communication materials including digital, print, mail, broadcast, and social media.
